Xiaomi announced their newest member to the Mi lineup, the all new Mi 5X in China. The Xiaomi Mi 5X is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, comes with 12MP dual cameras and is priced under $240.

The Mi 5X uses a hybrid slot meaning that it can take 2 Sim's or 1 Sim and a Micro-SD card. Coming to the display Mi 5X features a 5.5 inch screen with 2.5D curved glass and supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood there's a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB memory.
Now at the moment MI 5X is running MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1 but it will be getting MIUI 9 update in the coming weeks.

Coming to the camera its using dual camera setup. On the back there is 12MP wide angle (f/2.2) and 12MP Telephoto Lens (f/2.6) with dual tone LED flash support. Front camera is of 5MP resolution. Handset supports 4G with VoLTE, Dual Band WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. Xiaomi Mi 5X is using a USB Type C port and the non-removable 3080 mAh battery which is a letdown, considering they have managed to pack in a 4000mAh battery in the similar form factor earlier.

The Mi 5X goes on sale in China in the first week of August for a price tag of 1499 Yuan. It would be interesting to see if Xiaomi announces this product in India.
